BC Children's Hospital Foundation Chinese-Canadian RISE for BC's Kids.

The 35th Chinese-Canadian RISE for BC's Kids will be airing on Fairchild TV1 on June 10 at 8:00pm. We invite you to tune in and support BC Children's Hospital and raise funds for the most urgent health needs for kids in this province. This year's event will allow us to help purchase three pieces of core research equipment. During the live show, past child patients, staff, and volunteers of BC Children's Hospital will be sharing their touching stories and experiences.

Last year, 138,000 kids needs to seek expert care at BC Children's Hospital. And each year, approximately 130 kids in BC are diagnosed with cancer, and one in five don't survive long-term. That's one full classroom of kids whose lives are cut short. However, there's hope on the horizon. Medical experts at BC Children's Hospital are developing personalized, precision therapies that specifically target actual cancer, not the healthy cells around it. Leading up to Chinese-Canadian RISE for BC's Kids, one anonymous donor will generously match all donations up to $100,000 from May 1 to June 10, doubling the impact of your gift. And to show our gratitude for the 35 years of support from the Chinese community, for every donation of $250 or above, you can take home our 35th anniversary Sunny bear.

BC Children's Hospital is the only hospital in the province devoted exclusively to treating kids, and it is purposefully equipped to help all of BC's sick children and their families through some of the most challenging times of their lives. Despite of the unique challenges they faced in the past year, health care providers at BC Children's Hospital continue to do what they've always done best: ensuring our kids get the best possible care.

This May and June, please support Chinese-Canadian RISE for BC's Kids, and together, we can help BC Children's Hospital rise to the challenges of the most devastating illnesses facing sick children in BC today.
