“Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant 2025” Grand Final Successfully Concludes

Organized by Fairchild TV, co-organized by Talentvision TV, Fairchild Radio AM1430 and Popular Lifestyle and Entertainment Magazine (PLEM), the 31st “Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant” successfully concluded on Monday, December 1, at the Hilton Markham Suites & Conference Centre with cheers and excitement.
After series of song-and-dance performances, the segment of talent, swimsuit Q&A and fashion show segments, No. 4 Jenny Lin, a software engineer, impressed the judges with her outstanding performance throughout the evening and was crowned this year’s Miss Chinese Toronto Champion. She also won the “Scarborough Kingscross Hyundai Miss Photogenic” title, making her a double winner.
The First Runner-up title went to No. 1 Jessica Li, while the Second Runner-up was No. 6 Cecilia Chan. As for the special awards, the “Bigen Silky Hair Award” went to No. 1 Jessica Li, and the “Miss Congeniality” title was awarded to No. 7 Christine Mo.

Before the competition began, emcees recognized this year’s charity partner, Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation. The Founder & Chairman, Dr. Joseph Wong, presented a commemorative plaque to Dr. Thomas Fung, Chairman of Fairchild Group, in appreciation of the Group’s longstanding support for community and charitable initiatives.

Opening Session Theme: “Be the Leading Role in Your Life”
This year’s Grand Final kicked off with theatrical scenes, unfolding the theme of “Becoming the leading role in your life, breaking away from the ordinary, and bravely pursuing your dreams.” Following the opening, emcees Mr. Leo Siu and Mr. Albert Cheung officially introduced the judging panel and the pageant’s official auditor, marking the start of the competition.

Dynamic Talent Performances, Contestants Shine in Music and Dance
The talent segment featured dynamic music and dance pairings, with contestants showcasing creativity and stage presence across diverse art forms.
No. 5 Liane Cheung put on with an elegant piano performance of “Clair de Lune”, followed by No. 7 Christine Mo’s energetic drum rendition of “Bad Guy”, before reuniting for a lively “Conga” duet that lit up the stage.
No. 1 Jessica Li impressed with her fluid Jazz Funk routine, while No. 4 Jenny Lin added warmth with a romantic tenor saxophone performance of “Perfect”, culminating in a high-impact “Worth It” collaboration.
No. 2 Stephanie Leung delivered sharp, powerful Hip Hop choreography, contrasted by No. 8 Zabrina Lam’s graceful Chinese dance, and together they created a striking East-meets-West fusion in their finale. Closing the segment.
No. 3 Ashley Chan showcased expressive pipa technique, and No. 6 Cecilia Chan brought nostalgia through playing a Cantopop with guzheng, before teaming up for a creative reinterpretation that ended the segment on a memorable note.
Swimsuit Q&A: Confidence and Quick Thinking
In the swimsuit Q&A segment, the finalists responded confidently to on-stage questions, showcasing their quick thinking and self-expression. Champion No. 4 Jenny Lin left a memorable impression by improvising a short rap on the spot and playfully inviting the emcees to make funny faces with her, earning applause from the audience. No. 8 Zabrina Lam challenged the well-seasoned emcee, Leo Shiu, with sharp comments, making the audience burst into laughter.
Blending the Chinese heritage to showcase the unique elegance of Chinese women
The fashion show takes the stage in paired presentations, as the eight contestants showcase designs infused with traditional Chinese artistic elements — including embroidery, paper-cutting, jade craftsmanship, and Blue and white pottery — transforming the cultural aesthetics into a contemporary fashion language.
With graceful poise and confident composure, the contestants radiate a captivating charm that highlights the distinctive beauty of Chinese women.
Special Guest Brings the Night to Its Peak
To conclude the evening, the “Midlife, Sing & Shine! 2” First Runner-up, FC Tam, delivered heartfelt renditions of several beloved classics. With his expressive vocals, he pushed the atmosphere in the venue to yet another climax.

Congratulations to Nelson Cheng for winning the first place in the "Midlife Sing & Shine! 4" North American Audition in Toronto, and representing Toronto to return to Hong Kong to participate in the preliminary program recording! The second and third places were won by Roger Fung and Anita Tong respectively!
Co-organized by TVB (USA) and Fairchild Television, the North American audition of “Midlife Sing & Shine! 4” – Toronto Finals successfully took place at Oriental Plaza on Saturday, July 19! Following an intense preliminary round, the top 8 finalists took the stage to compete for the sole qualifying spot to represent Toronto and return to Hong Kong for the preliminary program recording of “Midlife Sing & Shine! 4.”
The final judging panel featured a star-studded lineup, including Bill Ng, one of the top six in “Midlife Sing & Shine!”, Lanny Shum, veteran music and media professional ,and Laird Zhou, a talented singer-songwriter. Together, they took on the important task of selecting the most promising Toronto representative for “Midlife Sing & Shine! 4.”
After a fierce competition, the Top 4 finalists emerged and advanced to the next round! With a quick reset and renewed energy, the contestant took the stage once again to deliver their best performances, aiming for a coveted spot in the final Top 2.
After an intense showdown, Nelson Cheng captured the judges’ attention and won their recognition with his outstanding rendition of “Red Mobile”. His stellar performance earned him the first place in the Toronto Finals, along with a Premium Economy round-trip air ticket from Toronto to Hong Kong, sponsored by EVA Airways!
Bill Ng, who came all the way from Hong Kong and was one of the Top 6 finalists in Midlife Sing & Shine!, not only served as a judge for the finals, but also took to the stage to share his personal journey and valuable insights with the audience. He delighted the crowd with several classic hits, including “Sha La La”, “Delilah”, and Sam Hui’s “浪子心聲” — instantly igniting the atmosphere.
In particular, during his performance of “浪子心聲”, Bill brought back his two iconic “secret weapons” — whistling and harmonica — recreating one of the most unforgettable moments from the competition. The audience responded with enthusiastic applause.The contestants also seized the moment to learn from a seasoned performer, soaking up inspiration as they prepare to step onto even bigger stages in the future.

The North American audition of "Midlife Sing & Shine! 4" - Toronto jointly organized by TVB (USA) and Fairchild TV will be held at Oriental Centre at 2 pm on Saturday, July 19. The finalists have been selected! The winner will receive a round-trip premium economy class ticket from Toronto to Hong Kong sponsored by EVA Airways, and return to Hong Kong to participate in "The Voice of Middle-aged People 4". Bill Ng will come and support all the dream chasers!
Tickets will be distributed from 1 pm on the day of the event. Seats are limited and first come first served. Please arrive early to queue up.

The highly anticipated “TVB Fairchild Fans Party”, organized by Fairchild TV and co-organized by TVB, Talentvision TV, Fairchild Radio AM1430, and Popular Lifestyle & Entertainment Magazine (PLEM), lit up the stage at the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto on March 18! This year, Fairchild TV welcomed the incredible lineup from TVB’s “Midlife Sing & Shine”, FC Tam, Marinda Lee, Stacey Long, and Ryan Lau, who wowed the crowd with amazing performances and fun interactions.
The hosts were Albert Cheung and Denise Liang. The show started with a bang as young and talented winners from “Those Days•These Songs Singing Contest”, “New Talent Singing Awards - Toronto Audition” and “VOCALIBRE”, David Ruan, Rachel Wong, Richard Wang and Natalie Lam, delivered an electrifying opening. Then, the stars made their grand entrance, tossing signed T-shirts into the crowd, setting off waves of excitement.
FC wowed the audience with an emotional performance, leaving the crowd mesmerized. As his first overseas performance, he called this show a dream come true and shared his excitement about finally meeting Canadian fans.
Marinda enchanted the crowd with her soulful voice and groovy style. She also teased her upcoming jazz concert in Hong Kong, leaving fans eager to catch her next show!
Stacey delivered a stunning performance of her latest single, her smooth yet powerful vocals leaving a lasting impression.
Ryan switched things up with three different song styles, bringing both energy and emotion to the stage. He also praised the warmth of Toronto's audience and complimented the local Chinese cuisine!
The fun didn’t stop with music. The stars teamed up with fans for a series of interactive games, keeping the theatre filled with laughter. To wrap up the night, they took a massive group selfie, handed out gifts, and mingled with the audience, creating unforgettable memories.
As the curtains closed on “TVB Fairchild Fans Party 2025”, fans left with smiles, already counting down to next year’s show!

On March 17th, First Markham Place buzzed with excitement as four stars from "Midlife Sing & Shine"— FC Tam, Miranda Lee, Stacey Long, Ryan Lau—met fans at the press conference and autograph session for "TVB Fairchild Fans Party 2025"! The event was organized by Fairchild TV, co-organized by Talentvision TV, Fairchild Radio, and Popular Lifestyle & Entertainment Magazine (PLEM) and supported by Air Canada, the stars flew in from Hong Kong for this unforgettable experience. Fans packed the venue early, cheering loudly as the stars arrived. The event’s host, Albert Cheung, kicked off the fun with a warm "Welcome to Toronto!", shouting together with the crowd, and engaged in a fun and lively interaction with the stars, getting the crowd hyped.
Games, Performances & Autograph Session: Fans Leave with Full Hearts The four stars played multiple rounds of interactive games with the fans at the event. Miranda and Stacey took the stage first, giving away limited-edition TVB souvenirs to their fans and performing the classic hit, captivating everyone with their stunning vocals. FC and Ryan joined in, engaging fans with a lively Q&A session and performing.
Winnie Wong, Vice President of Fairchild Media Group (Eastern Division), presented the stars with Canadian ice wine sponsored by Willow Springs Winery, wishing them success for the upcoming "TVB Fairchild Fans Party 2025" performance.

The newly crowned top 3 Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant winners, Juvally, Natalie, and Samantha, will demonstrate their skills in arranging New Year's flowers and making traditional festive desserts, helping everyone prepare for a prosperous new year!
